Emergency Management Plan Changes come into effect today
November 1, 2012 - In accordance with the Ontario Hospital Association and Ministry of Health, The Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre's new integrated Emergency Management Program (EMP) has come into effect as of today.
The EMP is a code system designed to manage the consequences of natural disasters or other emergencies that would impact the ability to provide ongoing care across the organization. All Ontario hospitals are required to have standardized EMPs that use a uniform code system, highlighting codes by colour, description and standard language.
The integration of our Emergency Management Program will ensure consistent emergency response across all our sites to better protect patients, staff, physisicans, volunteers and visitors to our hospital in the event of an emergency.
June 7, 2012 – The Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre is in a strong financial position from which to build its future as a leading, academic health services network. At its Annual General Meeting today, the new hospital, which officially merged on December 1, 2011, reported delivering on high quality care within a sound fiscal position. The Credit Valley Hospital and Trillium Health Centre filed a balanced budget with the Board of Directors for 2012 and reported a surplus of $5.3 million for the past year while dealing with increased volumes and demand for services. read more»
